Our experience starts in Pereira in tourist vehicles on a 1 hour and 40 minutes’ drive to Marsella, the Green Municipality of Colombia where we will enjoy the architectural richness of the Antioquian colonization, visiting “La Casa de la Cultura”, one of our greatest landmarks together with the unique in its style Jesús María Estrada Cemetery.
We will continue the tour in a Willys Jeep for 45 minutes to the farm where your hosts will be waiting for us with a delicious typical snack, and with energy to start the tour through the ancestral forest to the cocoa cultivation, where we will interact during the whole process of fermentation, drying, roasting, separation and grinding; learning the ancestral and artisanal process as our grandmothers used to do it.
We will enjoy a delicious typical lunch and finish by making our own drink from the cocoa we process during the tour.
